I focuses primarily on attachment and child development, and uses a combination of therapeutic modalities as needed, including Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, play-based, and trauma-informed therapeutic approaches.
I offer individual child sessions, or parenting sessions to address difficulties relating to behaviour, emotional regulation and challenges in the parent-child relationship; I keeps sessions fun and engaging for children, while using evidence-based strategies to provide the necessary support for growth and success!
Meet Laura
Hello, I’m Laura Winteron. I’m a Registered Psychotherapist (Q). My journey in the mental health field began as a social and medial anthropologist. I have always been intrigued by cultural diversity and the ways our social environments influence our personal experiences. This understanding is fundamental to my work as therapist. With over ten years of international experience in trauma work, I’ve had the honour of supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds as they navigate some of life’s most challenging moments.
I believe that therapy should provide a safe, non-judgemental environmental where you an freely explore your thoughts and feelings. My compassionate and integrative approach focuses on understanding your unique viewpoints and experiences. Approaches I use include Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy and Emotionally Focussed Therapy; I use these to support you in tackling various issues, such as anxiety, depression, self-esteem, relationship challenges, and trauma, all within a trauma-informed therapeutic framework. I aim to walk alongside you, helping you to discover your strengths as you move towards healing and personal development,
